I'm 23 and I live in a small town in Pennsylvania. I spend my time reading, writing, or playing guitar and making music. I was an IV opiate addict for years and have finally settled down and ceased living the junkie lifestyle by getting into the Methadone Maintenance Program

I have been fascinated with mantids from a young age and I rediscovered this, as well as other hobbies, when I quit using heroin.

Primarily mantids.

Recently completed my first successful mating attempts with the mantid species Mantis religiosa and Tenodera sinensis. Also have had both lay several oothecae (egg cases).

Photography, music, guitar, reading, writing, caving, hiking, mantids.

Tenodera sinensis (3 adult females, 2 adult males, and two oothecae)
Mantis religiosa (2 adult females and one ootheca)
Sibylla pretiosa (5 L3 nymphs)
Blepharopsis mendica (4 L2 nymphs)

Currently waiting for my T. sinensis and M. religiosa females to finish laying oothecae.

Also incubating the oothecae that have been laid thus far. T. sinensis nymphs will hatch in about six weeks and M. religiosa oothecae will need a diapause (over-wintering).

Will mate the other species I have when they reach adulthood and sexual maturity.

New setup
Any species of mantid
Larger variety of feeders

T. sinensis oothecae
M. religiosa oothecae

T. sinensis nymphs in 4-6 weeks.
