Got to be OUTSIDE! Always checking plants for any sign of insects. Looking in the holes on ditch banks, under rocks in the desert, and under bark were ever trees may be. If there is an insect out there, I'm gona find it! I love to hunt, collect then study the behavior of what I have found. There are so many different species of insects that we can learn something new from them every day. Even though some may look alike each family has at least one thing they do differently from everyone else.

I work for the Florida Department of Agriculture and currently rear the Carribean fruit fly and Diaprepes root weevil for research purposes, four species of phorid flies (Pseudacteon sp.) for release throughout the U.S. for biocontrol of the imported fire ant, and the cactus moth for SIT (Sterile Insect Technique) release in Louisiana at the moment during its wild flight windows.
