Love Bugs: Can Their Acid...

...leave a rash on your skin if one gets squished under your shirt and you don't find it till a few hours later? I figure if they can eat through car paint with their acidic body chemistry, it seems logical that it can damage skin... though I know it tends to only work its magic after being exposed to the sun all day.  Just yesterday I walked through a swarm of love bugs on my way into the comic shop, and it's the only conclusion I can draw! Thanks for any help :o)

I think they do, we have flashes of these all the time out here (we have a white house on top of that D:) One crawled up my pants on day out collecting and gave me a rash...erm...yeah...so thats a yes bye! *runs away*
