"New stuff from Repticon" or " A Brief Tragedy in Millipedes"
Posted On 01/30/2012 03:32:44 by Gnat

I lost one of my 3 A. gigas millipedes a few weeks ago but  I still have a mated pair. Saturday my girlfriend and I went to Repticon in Atlanta. I scored a couple of new things, the most random being a 1/4" Anphonopelma chalcodes I got because the vendor didnt have a $5 bill for change on some scorps i bought. I picked up a Scorpio maurus palmatus, and it is quite the feisty beast given its small size, and a 4 inch or so "Haitian centipede" as well as 3 dwarf hisser roaches. My girlfriend got a sweet female Senegal chameleon, a Vaejovis spinigerus Striped Devil scorp, a juvenile Ophistothalmus walberghi burrowing scorp, a 1 1/2" A. versicolor and two 1/4" 'Florida bark' scorps. We saw quite the selection of scorpion species available and I am kicking myself for not getting some cheap 2nd instar L. q. scorps, some 2nd instar A. australis  scorps and some small P. transvaalicus. I also picked up a juvenile bell albino leopard gecko for one friend and a 3" Avic. species for another friend.
