Chinese Mantis (Tenodera Sinensis)

The Chinese Mantis (Tenodera Sinensis)is rather common in the Unites States. Also, quite large. Though they are said to only reach 4" I have seen multiple specimens here in South Carolina over this "limit". This one was about 4 1/2" itself. Pretty nice specimen. As you can see it is a male, by it's abdomen size (Females are rather plump). I found it while mowing the lawn. It was something I just HAD to stop for.
