Was super excited

When my male Curly hair molted for the final time, I was excited. I thought about how great it would be to maybe get a female for him or to send him off to someone else. I even had an offer for a female. Then the more I thought about it, and really weighed the pros and cons, I just don't want to take on any more right now. Other areas of my life are crazy right now. My Curly Hair molted

About a week ago, my Curly hair was in the process of molting. So I left the tarantula alone and basically just filled the water dish. Today, as I was checking the tarantulas, I discovered that my Curly is male. He has the swelled boxing glove like palps and the hooks. He's just way small. I would have pictures but my camera is not working. My nephew's obt molted also and it's a regular spit fire. I am really liking that species of tarantula, baboon spider. I just went to a reptile show this weekend and got my very first tarantula, a female Honduran Curly hair. She's about 2 inches right now and I just got done feeding her for the first time. She's really sweet and didn't make a fuss when I transferred her to her new cage. I'm really looking forward to seeing her grow and I cant wait for her to start growing those long golden hairs they get their name for. Wish me luck!... Read More
