ABOUT ME
Not too much to tell honestly, I'm just a silly girl that likes bugs and herps. I'm actually just getting into inverts. But I’m seriously hooked! I'm a member of the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society, and I’m working towards incorporating more insects into these programs. As they are a huge part of most reptiles diets. Plus I just really enjoy them. I’m looking forward to going out and doing a lot of field collecting this summer, starting like NOW! I just need to get myself some of those nifty vials to carry in my purse everywhere ;)

I’m also attempting to get some importation permits to bring some other creatures into my personal collection to be used for outreaches as well, like rhino beetles etc. I’ve found plenty of merchants who don’t seem to give a rats about those laws, but I would rather not have my babies confiscated in customs, so I’m trying to go the legal route. If anyone has any hints or suggestions please don’t hesitate to PM me!

Plus if you have the dish on where to go field collecting in and around Western Washington for herps or inverts I would LOVE to hear from you!!!

TO START, I LOVE MILLIES AND ROACHES! But I can't really pin this down to a list. I really would like to get my hands on any species to rear and learn about. I don't have any 8 legged babies as of yet. I know, it's silly. But I've still got my internal hesitations about these little fellows. However, I'm determined to overcome my fears. So if you have any that are really sweet in the Seattle area, and might be willing to meet a scaredy cat human...

As of March 2009 I only have very few pets.

2 Giant Black African Millipede
1 Bumblebee Millipede
2 Narceus Millipedes
4 Floria Ivory Millipedes
2 Chinese Mantids (thank you zonbonzovi!)
300+ Blaptica Dubia Cockroaches
A million mealworms
A few thousand superworms
A few silkworms (Edit: They became dinner lol)

B. Dubia colony
Mealworm colony

I would LOVE to have any species of the rhino beetles. And really any other buggy I can get my hands on :)

I'm just a dirty corporate whore. Currently working for Starbucks at the main office downtown as a data analyst. Not very exciting.

Hence why I'm on here......

I think I have rented every movie that Blockbuster has. Except for westerns, I just can't get into those.

But generally I love anything horror or sci-fi. Comedies are great.

Music I love everything from Cab Calloway to Dresden Dolls to Alicia Keys. Just no country.

Sorry to all of you who dig the south and the music and movies they have to offer, I just can't hang.

However, I will spare a horse and ride a cowboy...
