Awesome. I haven't gotten mine yet. I'm expecting them any day now. I never got a chance to sex the cave roach nymphs yet, and I dont feel like digging them up again. lol I'll just have to wait till they molt into adults. They are huge, so I think they only have one molt left, so it's all good.

Oh. That's cool that he went out and caught some for you. Peter just offered me a different species. Which, I don't mind because I'm not planning on breeding them or anything. So instead of the N. Americanus, I'm getting a pair of juvie Florida Ivory milli's. :p

I founded and been managing a cat shelter for almost twenty years. Vegetarian. Ex-animal rights activist. I started collecting bugs again in 2002, after a 15 year break for ethical reasons. Still feeling guilty about picking up the kill jar again. Do you ever kill them? And if so, how do you come to terms with it?

You asked about keeping Aphonopelma seemani, mine is a nice adult female, pretty skittish but never really defensive, nor a hair-kicker. Just inclined to hide from disturbance. If I took her out of her enclosure, I believe she would be fairly easy to handle. Out of all my Ts, she is the #1 "bulldozer," she completely buried her hide and dug a new one under the water dish. Always rearranging her tank. Very beautiful when freshly molted and really easy to keep. Thanks for the comment.

Heh. Yeah. Found the link to this site on Arachnoboards, too. Been more active on there since I got the T. :p I'm not sure if I'm ready for scorps yet. The fact that the T has fangs still makes me a little nervous to stick my hand in the critter keeper. lol
