The Pacific North West Invertebrate Rescue Center (IRC) is located in Lane County; we are a non profit, no-kill organization dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and adoption of “domestic” Invertebrates in the Pacific North West (we will also consider cretin reptiles). IRC also provides educational demos with Oregon’s Herpetology Society.
We consider these "creepy critters" to be companion pets in the same way that many consider Puppies and Kittens to be companions and therefore feel they deserve the same loves, respect, and care as unloved and unwanted homeless animals
It is our mission to provide a safe and loving home for Non-Native companion and pet Invertebrates in the Pacific Northwest region. Invertebrates fall under but are not limited to Tarantulas, Scorpions, Millipedes, Centipedes, Beetles, Walking Sticks, Roaches, Snails, Slugs, Etc et al.We will accept all manner of pet invertebrates that are not captured and removed from the Pacific Northwest ( Washington , Oregon , Idaho ) region’s natural environment. We endeavor to provide quality husbandry and care for each invertebrate we receive as a rescue. Collectively, we share over 16 years in proper invertebrate care.
