I am a wife and mother of two; I recently completed a field guide to Missouri Insects and I am seeking a publisher. My job takes me to the Missouri Department of Conservation where I work as a naturalist. I lead hikes and give programs to school children and host special events. Many of my programs revolve around insects. I was instrumental in organizing a 6 county 4H workshop on entomology in which we hold workshops both in the classroom and in the field. Dr. Ashley (professor of Bio. at MWSU) has been generous in offering to help lead these workshops. I also volunteer with Squaw Creek NWR on various projects and special events. I am also an amateur photographer and spend a good deal of time taking pics of inverts with my new macro lens. Now that my son is grown and my daughter is more interested in friends and boys than in hanging out with mom; it frees up my time to be able to pursue my interest in nature, most especially BUGS!
