I like good food, good friends, and having a good time (who doesn't?). I try not to follow the crowd but sometimes get swept along anyway. I think my education is one of the most important things in my life, and I have never let my schooling interfere with it. I'm not a leader and I'm not a follower - my own drummer doesn't even know whose beat I'm marching to.
I like to laugh and I like to learn. I'll sometimes answer questions with questions, but I'll always answer answers with questions (if that makes sense).
I plan on living forever (so good so far) but I'm trying to learn to live for today. Someday I hope I'll wake up and realize I've done everything I set out to do. Then I'll spend the rest of my life eating nectarines and sleeping in a hammock.
Oh, and I happen to really like bugs.

Entomology was probably the first real interest I had as a kid, long before I could pronounce "entomology." I love biology in general, but entomology has always been especially fascinating for me.
I like to watch ants building their nests, and I've always been transfixed watching a spider build its web. I love the endless diversity of arthropods and how efficiently they've evolved to their unique environments.
And I also can't help but admire how beautiful some of them are. I have plenty of butterflies and insects framed on my walls and many more sitting around in lucite. I'm the guy that's constantly creeping out his friends by commenting on how beautiful a particular spider is, or how mesmerizing it is to just watch a myriapod walking.
I plan on studying entomology in college at the University of Arizona. Hopefully I can find a career studying what I love.

I have some pretty eclectic interests and I'm not even sure where I picked up half of them. Entomology is definitely one of my top favorites, but I also really love herps and have just started breeding my leopard geckos.
I really enjoy reading; I just wish I had the attention span to actually sit down and finish a whole book. In my bookcase you'll find at least a dozen books with forgotten bookmarks tucked somewhere in the middle of the novel. I really like classic literature though, along with the kinds of books that get banned from schools or that people find "unpleasant." For example, I just finished Nabokov's INVITATION TO A BEHEADING and am starting into A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.
I'm really into philosophy (politics, epistomology, ethics, existentialism, etc.) and am always up for a good conversation.
I like console and computer games, as long as they require either violence or strategy (or ideally both!)
I'm a black belt in origami. It's a great way to pass time and is surprisingly impressive to people that don't know how to do it.
I have an unstoppable compulsion to collect things, be it coins, strange rocks, animal skulls, or old movie tickets. Speaking of movie tickets, I love movies. I have to see any movie that looks like it could be even remotely interesting, and as a result I end up watching a lot of crappy movies. Part of it is the movie I guess, but it's also the experience. I need that house-sized screen and the smell of buttered popcorn and the creaking armchair and the cool darkness of the theater. It's like an addiction that costs more or less depending on whether you make the matinee or not.
The list goes on, but I think I pretty much covered the basics. Oh, one more thing, I really like good jokes, so if you have one don't be selfish, I'd love to trade them with you :)
