Hey I'm Derek! I'm a freshman entomology major at Purdue University. I work for Dr Alan York raising tobacco hornworms(Manduca sexta). I've been intrested in anything with more than four legs ever since I can remember, and it doesn't show signs of changing anytime soon. I have 2 pet tarantulas, and have had many other arthropods as pets in the past. I was a 10 member in 4-H Entomology and also took Beekeeping. I haven't found an area of entomology i haven't liked yet but I'm very interested in learning how to raise bugs in general.
