I have loved bugs ever since I was a kid! I used to keep a large collection of Arachnids (~12 years ago). I raised all kinds of Lepidoptera at that time too (livestock mailed to me from other hobbyists).

Looking for moth cocoons/pupae.

Recently, I've been seeking specimens of Underwings (Catocalas), (Moths that come to sugar)

I'm also seeking specimens of Moths that come to lights:

Rosy Maple Moth

Pearly Wood Nymph, Beautiful Wood Nymph (Eudryas grata)

Spiny Oak-slug Moth (Euclea delphinii), Smaller Parasa (Parasa chloris)

Mostly all butterflies & moths, including:

Underwings (Catocalas)

Pearly Wood Nymph

Beautiful Wood Nymph (Eudryas grata)

Spiny Oak-slug Moth (Euclea delphinii)

Smaller Parasa (Parasa chloris)

Looking for Livestock of Katydids! - Please let me know!

Re: Insect preservation - Here's a tip: I used to use Pampel's Solution in the past, but back when I was fly fishing/collecting aquatic specimens, I discovered
an even better product. I got it from a fly fishing supply store on-line. It's called Bug Balmer and I found that it was sooo much better at preserving the colors of soft bodied insects (than other things I used). Just thought I'd mention it.

Bat research & recording, Ultrasound recording of bats and insects, Photography, Electronics, Radio Scanners, etc.

Hyalophora cecropia - Currently close to 3rd Instar
Grammia ornata - Currently at 1st Instar
Pyrrharctia isabella - Currently at 2nd Instar

You can read about my last breeding projects in an up-coming (Spring 2011) issue of Invertebrates Magazine.

That's easy! Cocoons!

Underwings (Catocalas)

Pearly Wood Nymph

Beautiful Wood Nymph (Eudryas grata)

Spiny Oak-slug Moth (Euclea delphinii)

Smaller Parasa (Parasa chloris)

If you have any of these: Please let me know!

Grammia ornata - Currently at 1st Instar
Pyrrharctia isabella - Currently at 2nd Instar
